As General Counsel and Publisher Relations, Kevin Norris leads ProQuest's legal functions, including intellectual property, customer and distribution agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and legal compliance.

Norris joined ProQuest in 2002 and was named Information and Learning's general counsel in 2004.  Earlier, he served as corporate counsel to bigchalk.com and as assistant general counsel to AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. and the accounting and consulting firm Laventhol & Horwath.

In private practice, Norris has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state court litigation. He is a member of the American Bar Association and Association of Corporate Counsel and serves on the SIIA Intellectual Property Committee and Copyright Committee of the Association of American Publishers.  Norris earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia and Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh.
